I strongly agreed that the ministers should have a pay increasement. As the world undergone industrialisation and becoming more develped, the standard of living increases and hence the cost needed for survival increases as well.This thus will lead into price inflation.Thus in order for the government to function normally and efficently ,it is necessary to increae their wages.Futhermore,it could prevent corruption and this an imporatant factor fot the failure or growth of a country.
Some may say that the government has a rather high pay while the heartlanders are suffering in pain.However,it is still neccessary for the leaders of the countries to have a rather good wage. Imagine if the leaders could not even fare for themselves ,how could they come out with policy and aid to the rest?In conclusion , the wage of the minister should increase.

i agree with ur views.
we are pretty lucky to have an efficient govt. in singapore. Plus, the standard of living here is also quite high.
i personally am not very keen on their pay rise, because s'pore's ministers have one of the highest, if not highest pay when compared to other countries.
but, yes, higher pays would probably prevent corruption.
i guess, that it's alright to increase their pay because of the standard of living in s'pore.
BTW, ur supposed to blog on an article frm the Sunday Times n i'm supposed to comment, pls do it by tonite so tt u can hand it up tmrw.
